pH and Impedance Study

A pH and impedance study is conducted to evaluate acid reflux and non-acid reflux episodes in children. A small probe is placed in the esophagus to measure acidity levels over 24 hours. This test is essential for diagnosing gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and assessing its severity. At Dr. Kumar's Pediatric Gastroenterology Clinic, we provide comprehensive reflux evaluation using pH and impedance studies to tailor treatment plans for better symptom management.
